Received mine today, excellent quality as always! Some of these may have velcro closure instead of the stud and strap shown in the listing photo. Made of cotton-duck type material. has pouches for three AK mags, four grenades and two signal flares. Well worth the price!!!

nice gear. it's like a better sovietized version of the chicoms used by muj and regularly by soviet troops who did not want to wear the cumbersome harness system.

i have this chest rig as well, except for the vog grenade holder portion that attaches from the bottom.

I find these to be excellent for any type of BDU or suit... The neutral color is one, but since the size is completely adjustable you can use it over body armor and so on. I popped all different kinds of AK mags in mine, synthetic even fits, gotta get used to the pull tab mechanism on it, but other than that it functions flawlessly in a tactical setting. Though I question it's appearance over my Interceptor Vest... Something about it just doesn't mix, maybe one too technical paired with one less modern? Regardless, it's worth buying, just the price on Soviet Army Stuff is pretty steep for what it is I think.

You can put this over an interceptor vest? Wouldn't that feel kinda bulky?

Believe it or not it feels better than my load bearing vest... It's adjustable so I love it compared to my other USGI stuff that goes over the top, the USGI squeezes it tight and it gets hard to freely breath at times, so I actually do prefer this better, but I also must take into account camouflage, so I end up using it anyways, but only in terms of a tactical advantage.

I don't any have other vest other than my Ciras, so I don't know how to respond to this yet. But I do know that wearing the Ciras is a pain, too many straps and velcro. I would never be able to get it on a second if I was in a real combat situation!

Yeah... Most of them were designed to have 'Quick Release Straps,' but a great deal of the plate carriers that civilians can by do not. So it's difficult to get rid of your vest unless you build some strong arms.

My Ciras have a quick release strap, but I have only used it once. That was when I just got the vest and forced it to fit, I got trapped and could not figure out how to remove it, so I had to pull the cord. I am too timid to put the suit back together after pulling the cord after that experience.
